James I (1603-1625), Shillings, Tower (4), Second Coinage, 1605-1606 (2), third crowned and armoured bust right, rev. square-topped shield, 5.68g, 11h, m.m. rose; another, similar, 5.72g, 8h, m.m rose (North 2099; Spink 2654), both creased and mostly flat, fair; additionally, Third Coinage, Shilling, 1621-1623, sixth bust, 10h, 4.74g, m.m thistle (North 2124; Spink 2668), clipped and flat, fair; unusually, Contemporary Counterfeit of a Second Coinage, reading '[IA]COBS D: G: MAG: BRI: FRA: ET: HI:B [REX] [sic], rev., (m.m.) QVAE DEVS CONTMIXIT.... [sic], square-topped shield, 3.04g, 3h, "m.m. lys", test snicked to reveal the forgery, otherwise largely flat to centres, poor, but of numismatic historical interest; also, Third Coinage, Sixpence, 1624, 2.49g, 2h, m.m. trefoil, flat to the bust and softly struck, porous, fair/fine; lastly, Second Coinage, Penny, 0.54g, 8h, m.m. trefoil (North 2106/1; Spink 2661), pierced and mostly flat, poor (6)
