CIVITAS CANTOR, no stops, long cross fourchée, trio of pellets in angles, 1.40g, 7h, m.m. tun (North 1712; Spink 2211), porous, scratch across the face, clipping obscures some of the legends, fair; also, "Sovereign" Pennies, York, Archbishop Rotherham (2), throne of two single pillars, rev. CIVITAS EBORACI, quartered shield of arms over long cross fourchée, keys flanking below, 0.77g, 12h (North 1727; Allen Type 1i; Spink 2235), creased, flat, toned, about good; another, similar, saltire crosses on the seat of the throne, 0.68g, 3h (North 1729; Allen Type 3iv; Spink 2238), pierced and irregular almost very fine; another, Henry VIII (1509-1547), Second Coinage, Groat, 1526-1544, Tower, crowned bust right, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, saltire stops, 2.49g, 1h, m.m. lys (Laker bust D; North 1797; Spink 2337E), details of face worn away, otherwise, fine or better; also, Edward VI (1547-1553), Third Period, Fine Silver Issue, Shilling, 1551-1553, Southwark, crowned facing bust, dividing rose and value, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 3.97g, 4h, m.m. y (North 1937; Spink 2482), clipped, scratched and mostly flat; also, Mary, Solus (1553-1554), Groat, Tower, crowned bust left, rev. square-topped shield over cross fourchée, 1.79g, 9h (North 1960; Spink 2492), flan bent in two places, owing to a level of wear, much of bust obscured but reverse much better, poor/good (6)
