A comprehensive collection of covers and cards (50+) including censor marks multiple Army Base P.O. datestamps 4, 5,6, 6a, various 'dumb' datestamps, a wide range of censor marks and cachets including "base hospital/official free/on active service", "mounted brigade/central force", "official. free./imperial light horse", "mechanical transport/officer in charge/department of defence" boxed "passed by censor/doorgelaten door censor/no 1b" in violet, "postage free./passed by censor", "official free / natal carbineers", "hospital ship "ebani" / s.a. expeditionary force"; Field Telegraph c.d.s. in blue on envelope to Windhoek; also three picture post cards to Australia from Army Base 4 of Luderitzbucht, each with octagonal tax 20c. marking, one of which missent to Melbourne, regimental cachets, Aus Prisoner of War Camp cachets, "armoured train" cachet. Mixed condition though an interesting group well worth viewing with posibility for further expansion
