1840-1912 a small, predominantly used collection mounted on pages, housed in a boxed F.G. 'Popular' album including 1840 1d. black (3) with decent margins, 1840 2d. blue with four margins, 1841 1d. red-brown (15) with various cancellations including blue town cancel and '7' within Maltese Cross, 1841 2d. blue (2) with good to large margins, 1d. plate number range with 148 and 191 mint blocks of four, 1854-57 2d. blue, Plate 9, mint, 1870 ½d. used (17) including Plate 9, also Plate 9 and 13 overprinted "specimen", 1854 embossed, a good range of Surface Printed used including 1873-80 Watermark Orb 2½d. Plate 17, 1873-80 1/- (7), 1/-orange-brown, 1883-84 2/6d. lilac and deep lilac, 5/- rose and crimson, 1902-10 ½d. booklet pane with watermark inverted. Very mixed condition with multiple faults though a valuable group.
