(x) A Victorian Officer's helmet plate for the Royal Irish Regiment c.1880-1901, a fine gilt example. Crowned star mounted with laurel wreath and Garter; the replacement red velvet centre bearing bronze crowned Harp resting in shamrock sprays. Mounted on the base of the wreath, a bronze tri-part scroll inscribed “The Royal Irish”, three loops to reverse some tarnishing and verdigris
