Including an Army Form dated 3 September 1916 confirming he was wounded in action on 26 August 1916, a large number of letters to his sister, post-War correspondence relating to War Gratuity, etc. (Lot)

Richard Chilcott was born at Nether Stowey, Somerset and enlisted at Barry, South Wales. He was killed in action on 9 June 1917 and is buried in Heninel Communal Cemetery Extension. Chilcott was the brother of Mr. H. J. Chilcott, of 24, Harvey St., Cadoxton, Barry, Cardiff.
