Grant-of-Arms, made out to 'David Petrie', vellum with ink inscription headed by the Petrie Coat-of-Arms and those of the Lord Lyon King at Arms, signed by Sir James Balfour Paul in the lower margin, the whole within its red leather case decorated with gilt crowns and G.V.R. cyphers, a wax seal affixed to the document itself, the case slightly distressed, otherwise good very fine

David Petrie was managing director of the Antwerp Engineering Company; sold together with an envelope containing several prototypes of the coat of arms and two wax seals on card, (the card broken and ones seal slightly damaged) with a letter from the recipient's son stating that he received the grant upon his father's death in 1939.
