A Korean War Purple Heart group of four awarded to Sergeant M. Dickens, Transportation Corps, United States Army

Purple Heart; Korean Service Medal; United Nations Medal for Korea; Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct, all in cases of issue, extremely fine (4)

Matthew Dickens was born on 4 January 1918, he was issued with the service number 34318311, and enlisted on 22 January 1946. He was seriously wounded on 20 August 1950 by a missile but did return to active service. He died on 11 November 2001 and is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, U.S.A.. His gravestone notes Second World War and Vietnam War service but his is not confirmed.
