M.B.E. London Gazette 1 January 1971.

Cecil Roy Jacobs joined RAF Halton as a Boy Apprentice in 1937 as part of the 36th Intake. Whilst there, he excelled as a sportsman and was variously mentioned in The Daedalus.

(ii)
Royal Air Force Athletic & Cross Country Association, 50mm, bronze, Team Championship, Division III, 1938, Long Jump, Winners.

(iii)
RAF HQ 19 Group Championship 1950, 440 Yds Relay, 2nd Place Medal.

(iv)
BAFO Inter-Formation Championship 1947, 2nd Place.

Together with twenty other related sporting Medals, a good number engraved to the recipient.
