New Zealand 1845-66, reverse dated '1863 to 1866' (184. Sergt. John Smith, 2nd Bn. 18th Ryl Irish Regt,) very fine

John Smith was born at Johnstown, Kilkenny, Ireland. He was a Servant prior to attesting into the 18th Regiment of Foot at Clonmel, Tipperary on 16 April 1858. He is additionally entitled to an L.S. & G.C. medal. Smith was discharged on 22 April 1879 and had intended to live in London.
