Mrs. Fielder) note order of naming incorrect; Defence Medal 1939-45; Civil Defence Medal; Woman's Voluntary Service Medal, the last three unnamed as issued, the first two mounted as worn, sold together with a named slip of issue for the B.E.M., minor contact wear, overall good very fine (4)

Alice Fielder served with the Woman's Voluntary Service at Hornsea, East Yorkshire during the Second World War. After the conflict ended she became responsible for running the organisation for which she was awarded the British Empire Medal.
