Arvid Gustaf Henning Kinberg was born at Stockholm in 1860 and served in the Swedish Army, reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He served as an observer during the Boer War (Queen's Medal & 3 clasps) and during his career earned various Swedish, Norwegian, French and Russian Orders and Decorations.
