A fragment of drum skin, reputedly taken from an enemy drum at Maharajpoor in 1843 by Sergeant T. Stone of the 16th Lancers, this with red hand-written script (Mrs G. T. Stone.)

Sold with a photograph of the Maharajpoor Star awarded to 1269 Sergeant Thomas Stone, 16th Lancers. The accompanying note mentions the drum skin fragment, as well as a Discharge certificate for his son George of the 2nd Bn. Royal Irish Regiment of Foot, hence Mrs G. T. Stone.
