Defence and War Medals 1939-45, good very fine (2)

Norman Colley Kittermaster of Rugby, Warwickshire, was born in August 1909 and by 1939 was Assistant Manager of a theatre in Brighton. After Officer Cadet training Kittermaster was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on 19 September 1942 (London Gazette 23 October 1942, refers), and served for the duration of the Second World War with the Royal Army Pay Corps. He relinquished his commission in May 1946, appears to have returned to the theatrical profession, and died in April 1978.

Sold together with the original forwarding box of issue for his campaign medals (with full address and ink stamps); copied London Gazette entries; an Army prismatic compass dated 1939; and an officer's Sam Browne belt.
