British War and Victory Medals (2. Lieut. S. J. Perry. R.A.F.), very fine (2)

Sidney James Perry was born at Dudbridge, Gloucester Bank, London on 1 May 1895 and enlisted with the 6th Battalion, London Regiment with the number 50523. Later transferring to the Royal Engineers during the Great War serving with the rank of Corporal.

Transferring again, this time to the Royal Air Force on 27 January 1918 with the number 317157, he was posted to Egypt where he flew DH6 aircraft from Cairo. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on 12 October 1918 he continued to serve until 7 May 1919 when he was transferred to the unemployed list; sold together with a copied M.I.C. and service papers.
