Service number denotes enlistment from January 1954 from W.R.A.F. Wilmslow.

The Women’s Royal Air Force was reconstituted on 1 February 1949 (following the passing of the Army and Air Force (Women’s Service) Act in 1948), which offered women a full professional career in the R.A.F. for the first time. Although women had previously been allowed to serve in this Arm it had always been in a temporary wartime capacity.
