Arthur Embrey was born at Lozells and enlisted at Birmingham . He served in the Balkans from 13 July 1915 and died of wounds on 8 August 1915 serving with the 9th Battalion. He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial and was the son of Edward Thomas and Nellie Embrey of 347 Birchfield Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham.
