Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (4665 Pte W. Shakespeare. 19th Hussars.), minor contact wear, slight edge bruise, very fine

William Shakespeare served in the Anglo-Boer War and was still with the 19h Hussars on the outbreak of the Great War. Entering the war on 21 August 1914 (Medal and clasp) he served until the end of the war (British War and Victory Medals) being discharged to the reserves on 8 February 1919; sold together with copied medal rolls and a medal roll transcription.
