India General Service 1895-1908, 1 clasp, Relief of Chitral 1895 (2466 Q.M. Sgt: T. Connolly 2/K.O.S.B.), renamed in a later impressed style, good fine

Thomas Connolly appears to have been born in about 1861 on Malta, and is noted as a Quarter Master Sergeant in the King's Own Scottish Borderers on his Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioner Admissions sheet, this dated 7 September 1897;sold together with a Commission document made out to 'John Connelly, Gentleman', dated May 1882 and appointing him a Quartermaster, Land Forces; signed by H.M. Queen Victoria.
