Andrew Moray Smith was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant with the Parachute Regiment on 1 September 1989. Further advanced Lieutenant on 26 June 1990 and Captain on 11 April 1993. Promoted Major on 30 September 2000 Smith retired as Lieutenant-Colonel on 30 August 2010; sold together with extracts from the London Gazette and a corresponding miniature Dress medal.
