A most unusual and complete 'Malcolm Club' O.B.E. awarded to Mrs B. V. E. Smith, Malcolm Club, whose service as buyer and equipment officer as well as member of the council of management earned her high praise
Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, G.VI.R., Officer's breast Badge, Civil Division, silver-gilt; 1939-45 Star; France and Germany Star; Defence and War Medals 1939-45, mounted as worn, sold together with a named invitation to an investiture from the Central Chancery of Orders of Knighthood, contact wear, very fine (5)
Beryl Violet Ethel Smith was born on 24 September 1901, she worked with the Malcolm Club - the Royal Air Force club - during and after the war. Smith notably worked with the comedian Charlie Chester M.B.E. and is photographed with him. She died in January 2003; sold together with an impressive archive comprising:

Letter from the Central Chancery inviting the recipient to an investiture.
