Pair: Assistant Nurse D. M. Randle, Voluntary Aid Detachment, who served from the summer of 1915 to beyond the war, receiving a 'mention' for her work in France during the Spanish 'Flu epidemic of 1919

Daisy Maud Randle lived at 25 Upper Berkeley Street, Portman Square, London. On the outbreak of war she joined the Voluntary Aid Detachment (27 July 1915) and was sent to the 2nd London General Hospital. Here she remained until 7 July 1916 when she was posted to France, entering the war with No. 24 General Hospital.

Promoted Assistant Nurse in July 1918 she was still with the army at the end of the conflict. Randle remained in France, tending to the sick as the slowly demobilising armies were ravaged by the Spanish 'Flu. She was 'mentioned' for her work on 10 July 1919; sold together with copied service records as well as an archive of original material comprising:
