John Reynolds was born at West Hoathly, Sussex and was a Labourer upon his enlistment at East Grinstead on the 12 August 1914. Reynolds served in France from 26 November 1914 but died at home of tuberculosis on 22 January 1918. The son of William and Elizabeth Reynolds, of Red House, West Hoathly, he is buried in the West Hoathly (St Margaret) Cemetery, Sussex. Further entitled to a 1914-15 Trio and a Silver War Badge; sold together with his Soldiers' Small Book.
