Sidney George Boyens was born at Poplar, London and attested at Greenwich on 7 September 1914 with the Royal Engineers. Entering the war in France on 22 May 1915 he served there as a riveter with the 89th Field Company. Boyens died of accidental drowning on 3 August 1916 and is buried at Doullens Communal Cemetery Extension No. 1; sold together with copied research comprising M.I.C., Memorial Scroll and Commonwealth War Graves Certificate.
