Duncan McNab Taylor was a native of Maryhill, Lanarkshire and was born on 6 August 1886. He qualified in 1908 with M.B., Ch.B from Glasgow University in 1908 before being commissioned as Lieutenant into the 5th Mhow Division on 30 July 1910. Promotions followed, being made Captain in 1913, Major in 1922 and Lieutenant-Colonel on retirement in January 1930. He died in London on 24 July 1954 and is buried at Logie, Stirling.
