Henry Osborne was stationed with the 1st Battalion, The Buffs in Bareilly, India where they served from March 1927. They were next posted to Burma in October 1930 to aid in the suppression of a revolt, being stationed at Maymyo. Remaining here until 1935, Osborne went on to see Second World War service and further earn the award of the Imperial Service Medal in civilian life; sold together with a copied medal roll and contemporary corresponding miniature Dress medals.
