Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, no clasp (2460 Corpl: R. A. Wade. Rly: Pnr: Regt.), minor contact wear overall, very fine

Richard Armytage Wade served with the 4th Battalion Railway Pioneer Regiment. This unit was raised with the purpose of protecting and maintaining the Railways during the Anglo-Boer War. Given the Guerrilla nature of this conflict they found themselves facing a good deal of action in the course of the campaign.
