Naval General Service 1793-1840, 1 clasp, Syria (James Kettle), nearly extremely fine

James Kettle served as Sergeant with the Royal Marines aboard H.M.S. Castor during the Syria campaign. During the bombardment of St. Jean D'Acre the ship took heavy fire, losing four members of the crew during the engagement; sold together with typed research.
