1936-39 group of Airmail envelopes (34, four registered), stationery card and registered envelopes, variously addressed and franked including 1936 (23 Sept.) envelope from UK to Accra via Kano and bearing GB 6d.; 1937 (Mar.) envelope Takoradi Wharf to England bearing 6d. (3) and showing framed "west coast of africa/aeroplane/1st voyage march 1937" in violet; 1937 (4 Mar.) envelope from Dahomey to Accra with boxed "cote occidentale d'afrique/aeroplane/1er voyage mars 1937" in red; 1937 (2 Apr.) 3d. registered envelope to London flown by French airmail and bearing 3d., 1/- and 2/-; 1937 (12 Aug.) first experimental flight envelope from Lagos to Accra bearing 6d. and similar for return flight; 1937 (7 Oct.) envelope flown from Accra to USA via London; 1938 (26 Feb.) envelope from Achimota to Austria flown by French airmail and bearing ½d, 1d., 2½d. pairs and 2d.; 1938 (17 Mar.) envelope from Kumasi to Manchester which crashed into a mountain at Cinq Croix in the Pyrenees, bearing 1/- (other stamps missing) and showing "correspondance avionretardee et deterioree/par suite de l'accindent aerian/survenu le 23 MRS 1938" cachet in violet; the envelope a little distressed as to be expected; and 1939 (4 Apr.) first experimental flight from Lagos Takoradi. A very good lot worth careful inspection.
