George II (1727-1760), 'Old Head' Crown, 1751 VICESIMO QVARTO, old laureate and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, angles plain, edge lettered downwards, 30.05g, 6h (ESC 128; Bull 1671; Spink 3690), some very faint contact marks and with a touch of softness to hair curls, otherwise with a most pleasing cabinet tone, underlying hints of flashy lustre to the reverse, a really most pleasingly good very fine, scarce in this condition
