Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Seventh Issue, Halfcrown, 1601, Tower, crowned bust left, wearing decorated dress and wide ruff, holding orb and sceptre, rev. lightly garnished square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 14.71g, 1h, m.m. 1 (North 2013; Spink 2583), a couple of die flaws to and surrounding the reverse shield, rubbed to the portrait, nevertheless the legends pleasing, bolder very fine
