Provenance
i) ~ Found in 'Lake field D', at Ludford, East Lindsey District (Lincolnshire), 18 November 2010 ~
Recorded with Derby Museum [ref. E7235] (PAS: DENO-35C998)

Although lacking in sufficient detail or a traceable die duplicate to provide a formal attribution, the ligate NG of ANG is similar to Museum examples attributed to Stamford or Lincoln, but possibly also Exeter. The findspot would suggest it is one of the former, and although the moneyer Kolgrimr is a good possiblity, this cataloguer favours the Stamford moneyer Godwine purely on stylistic grounds.
