Attica, Athens, AR Tetradrachm, c.470-425BC, head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive springs and volute, frontal eye rev. AOE Owl standing on branch right, head facing, olive sprig and crescent behind, two centring marks - one at edge of A and the other on forehead of owl - all within shallow incuse square, 5h, 17.21g, (SNG Munchen, 53; Svoronos A., pl. 15, 37) perfectly-centred and well-struck, Athena retaining a quasi-archaic smile, light porosity but details remain in high relief, as well as light toning, good very fine
