17th Century, Silver Coins (5), including: Charles I (1625-1649) Tower (under King) (3): Group III, Type 3a1, Halfcrown, 1636-1638, King on horseback left, scarf flies out from waist, rev. oval-garnished shield, 14.44g, 2h, m.m. tun (North 2209; Spink 2771), lightly toned, good fine or better; also, Group C, Type 2b, Shilling, 1630-1631, rev. four pellets each side, 6.00g, 8h, m.m. plume (North 2221; Spink 2783), some rub, otherwise fine, the reverse better; also, Sixpence, Briot's Second Milled Issue, 2.90g, 7h, m.m. anchor (Brooker 732; North 2306; Spink 2860), creased and straightened, with scratch marks across portrait, otherwise fine; additionally, Commonwealth (1649-1660), Halfgroat, 0.87g, 8h (ESC 2160; North 2728; Spink 3221), crimped, toned, almost very fine; lastly, Charles II (1660-1685), Third Hammered Issue, Fourpence, 1660-1662, 2.00g, 7h, m.m. crown (ESC 322; North 2768; Spink 3324), toned with rub, almost very fine; an attractive little group (5)
