Henry VII (1485-1509), Class IIId, Groat, Tower, crowned bust facing, rev. : CIVITAS + + LONDON : long cross, trio of pellets in angles, 3.22g, 8h, m.m. anchor (North 1705c; Spink 2199A), on a fuller flan, toned, near very fine; also Henry VIII (1509-1547), First Coinage, 'Sovereign' Type, Penny, 1509-1523, Durham, Bishop Thomas Ruthall, King enthroned holding sceptre and orb, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, TD above, 0.67g, m.m. lys (North 1777; Spink 2331), pierced and crimped, with soil deposits, otherwise toned and on a pleasingly full flan for type, struck details better than fine (2)
