Plate 60: QL, good to large margins, tied to piece of printed matter circular by a fine upright strike of the red Maltese Cross with blue Guisborough c.d.s. of 2 Oct. 1845 alongside; fine and very rare. Believed to be the latest recorded use of the red Maltese Cross. B.P.A. Certificate (1985).

note: Rockoff and Jackson do not record any use of the red Maltese Cross later than 1844
