John Palmer's personal extract of the relevant section on the Post Office, from 1673 "Britannia or a Geographical description of the Kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland" by Richard Blome, showing the postage rates and "A Table of the Stages, and Post Towns in each County of England" and "annotated at top in his own hand; fine. This remarkable Postal History document, a new discovery, is a unique and exciting record - given the key Palmer connection - of the early British Postal system, during the reign of King Charles II, just after the key introduction of the Bishop mark in 1661
