2/6d. to £1 trial printing set of four in blocks of four overprinted "cancelled" (type 24), all except 10/- marginal from the right of the sheet; the £1 unmounted mint and the lower denominations large part original gum. Very fresh and exceptionally scarce, there being only a few recorded examples in block of four

note: This trial run was printed in colours similar to those of the issued stamps though the quality of the printing was deemed to be insufficient and was thus halted. The trial was sent for pulping with only a few examples remaining for reference purposes.
