1789 (October 5), letter headed General Post Office, from Anthony Todd, Secretary of the Post Office, to Lord Walsingham, Postmaster-General, including "My Lord I am very much obliged to your Lordship for your letter of yesterday, and likewise for what you say of me to honest Braithwaite, and as I must desire to hold you to your kind promise of dining here on Wednesday. I cannot consent to the chop house dinner and have wrote Lord Westmorland accordingly"
