1903 (Nov.) envelope (flap missing) to Punjab, India bearing British Somaliland 2a. uncancelled with "o" applied on three sides (to indicate the stamp not valid for postage) with handstruck "T" and circular "overland postage/due/as", the reverse with Base Office Berbera, Bombay (5.12) and part Ferozepore arrival c.d.s.. Sent by Major Mullins who had written, "Please retain the empty cover for reference" and "When full enquiry has been made regarding charge, please return both ... envelopes". An interesting cover which indicates some of the frustrations of correct stamps not being available. Photo
