1893 (4 Dec.) commercial envelope registered to Paris bearing 1892 set of four cancelled by "cook islands/p.o./raratonga" postmark with "R" in oval in purple with manuscript number "609", Raratonga despatch and London transit (2..2), the reverse with Auckland registered c.d.s. and Paris arrival. Also 1894 (12 Feb.) cover front to London "Via Auckland" bearing 10d. carmine pair tied by Raratonga despatch c.d.s. with "R" in oval in violet numbered "726" (part of the address has been removed). 1894 (15 July) envelope registered to New Zealand bearing the set of four tied by Raratonga c.d.s., large "R" in oval in purple with number "1187", Registered Auckland and Nelson backstamps; folding creases and soiling. Note: The "R" handstamp in purple was employed from December 1894to March 1895, the numbers recorded are between 616 to 1735. 21 covers have been recorded
