1857 6d. grey-lilac singles (2) and 1858 perf 11¾ ½d. deep rose, each cancelled by Montreal 4-ring "21" on 1859 (7 Feb. ) entire to France, showing despatch datestamp, circular-framed "pd", London Paid transit c.d.s. (21.2) and Calais entry d.s. with arrival datestamp on reverse; the address panel partially excised and reinstated. A marvellous franking and one of only two covers recorded at the 12½d. letter rate to France via the Cunard Line (this sent on "Arabia". B.P.A. Certificate (1995). Photo
