India Royal Visit
1875 Menu printed on cream silk with a gilt fringe and a vignette of the cross channel steamer the "Castalia" that conveyed Prince Albert Edward, Prince of Wales from London to Calais on 11 October at the start of his Visit to India. The menu has the Royal Arms at the top surmounted by the Prince of Wales's feathers and his initials "AE" in the top corners. Although undated it seems reasonable to assume that this was the occasion for which the ornate menu was printed (75x100mm)
