The Mouse Trap
1899 Autograph letter written by William Dean Howells, playwright, (1837-1920), from New York to Miss (Nona) Stewart, authorising her to put on his play 'The Mouse Trap' for charity, asking she apply for permission from his Edinburgh publishers. His farce never quite achieved the popularity of Agatha Christie's book and play of the same name. Two pages, mounting on the reverse.
