1846 Red silk ensign with an embroidered inscription "Presented to Captain Sturdee and the Officers of the City of Glasgow by the Ladies of Trinidad, January 1846". The steamship "City of Glasgow" sailed from Liverpool on 1 March 1854, heading for Philadelphia but was never seen again, lost with 480 passengers and crew aboard. An evocative souvenir from an earlier voyage (690x360mm, some wear but in good condition)
