1960-1966 The first State President and Prime Minister of the Republic of SA. Signed photographs of Swart (2), signed cards and an inauguration programme (7). Two typed letters signed by Verwoerd. 1960 a response to good wishes sent by the National Youth League on the declaration of a Republic, the other acknowledging birthday greetings in 1965. Photograph with accompanying letter from Mrs Verwoerd in 1970 sending his autograph cut from a bank slip; the State Funeral programme and two tickets following his assassination in 1966, with a memorium programme from the City of Pretoria signed by the Mayor and Councillors; an official printed souvenir by the authority of Mr Speaker of the visit of Prime Minister Harold Macmillan to South Africa in 1960 containing the full text of his famous "Wind of change" speech and the response by Prime Minister Verwoerd.
