Whaling
1957-1958 Manuscript notebook (16pp) compiled by a whaler onboard the "Balaena" whaling factory ship in the Antarctic. He records notes on whale biology, catch statistics with seven relevant sketches. The ship was one of the best equipped of its time, had two seagoing aircraft aboard for spotting whales, served as a floating factory and was owned by the Anglo-Norwegian company, United Whalers Ltd.
