Airship R34
1919, a group of documents relating to the double crossing of the Atlantic by the British airship R34 which travelled from East Fortune - Rathlin - New York - Clifden - Pulham, items include $1 bill inscribed "Carried by air from New York to London on R34, R.F. Durrant, Lieut." with letter of confirmation signed by of Flight Lieutenant Reginald F. Durrant.. images of the airship taken by crew member J. Reid at Pulham with his inscriptions on the reverse, pictoral sheet with hand drawn map signed by twelve crew members, typed account of the event with an identified crew photo, ALS from Durrant to Jimmy Wotherspoon and a menu for the commemorative lunch. A fascinating assmebley.
