1658 (14 June) letter without address, signed "Your affectionate friend, Charles R", given at "Bruxelles", reading "I am soe much informed of your good affection to me, that I cannot doubt of your redynes to addidt me with the loane of fifty pound, wich I will repay to you as soon as I am able, as the acquittance with the Bearer shall give you (who knows the way of returning it to me) shall be your discharge, & oblige me; And I shall take your readines to assist me - herein very well from you, & shall alwaies be.".
Some paper reinforcements and residue from previous mounting otherwise fine with near complete wax seal in red.
