King Edward VI's Privy Council Document, Edward Seymour Somerset as Lord Protector of England
1548 (25 June) privy council document addressed to "One of the Kings Majesty's Receivers of the Court of Augmentations" regarding the requisite "dilligence [in] the collection of [rents etc.]", urging the collector to practice greater care and reminding him that "rents to be due at michelmass next, "by hallowtyme or Christmas at the furtherst" an "also to make undelayed payment to the treasurer of all his majesty's treasure as is or in the mean time shall come into your hands" signed "E: Somerset", "W Saint John", "J Russell", "William Paget", "Edward North" and "" alongside three other signatories complete with integral address panel. Paper reinforcement along left though a fine document and an important group of signatories.

Notes: Edward Seymour Somerset (1500-1552) served as King Edward VI's Lord Protector of England from 1547-1549 during the minority of his nephew King Edward VI.
